  • Looking for a Melbourne Photographer Near You?

I’m based in the outer east of Melbourne, but I’m happy to work with families throughout the city and beyond. Whether you’re in the heart of Melbourne or the suburbs or just here on holiday looking for a photographer near you, I can travel to your home or choose from a range of beautiful locations I know well across the city. I have a great visual location guide to help you choose if you don’t know where to start! My focus is on making the experience relaxed and comfortable, exactly how you want your photos to feel.

You can check out my recent work on my Instagram.

  • A family in Melbourne have their photo taken up a bushland hill the dad holds one boy and the mum holds another boy scooped up, they are smiling
  • a young asian boy dressed in blue holds his parents hands during a photoshoot in the Australian bushland like in Bluey
  • a large family photo of a group wearing coordinated clothing on a farm standing together smiling
  • “We were so blessed to have Bec photograph our family on our recent holiday. She made us all feel relaxed, was so patient with us, and managed to capture lots of candid photos of everyone. We love the expressions and precious memories she has captured for us!”

“Bec was the BEST!!! She turned this Insta-stalking, camera-shy Mum and her equally shy family into a relaxed, happy crew and captured a whole reel of shots that were just undeniably US in the quickest hour ever! Thank you so much, Bec – I’m so sorry I waited so long for “the perfect time” to book a shoot – because all we really needed was you and your camera magic!”

There are some real perks to photography life. Des There are some real perks to photography life. Despite being a deep creature of habit. I also love the variety this woke brings. I can be in a horse paddock one day and the city the next (like I was this morning). Sessions should reflect who you are and what you want to show about your life.
My 2016 album just arrived. I’m doing each year My 2016 album just arrived. I’m doing each year slowly (this is the fourth album I’ve made). The great benefit of having your images organised is that albums take much less time. This company is @zno_usa I don’t directly offer this brand through my gallery as they’re maybe not quite as polished as the other crew I use (nor are they integrateable with my gallery software) but they feel like a good balance of quality to budget. Although they’re still not crazy cheap (hence why I space making them out!). I also use this company as they offer the page volume I need to cover a full year - which was very important when I made my 2019 album because I took A LOT of photos that year! I also think their album builder is pretty great. Happy to answer any questions.

With my first kid I used to hang out in our kitche With my first kid I used to hang out in our kitchen/dining area at the time in the morning and there were some tawny frogmouths in a gumtree in the backyard (we were up high) and I would have abc classic fm on the background like a old person 😆😆😆 (this is pre google home/alexa days guys) and we’d hang out in the garden. It was deeply unfrantic. The accounts I love most on instagram are the design/housey/romanticise your life types. I like the leaning in to cosy. Sometimes this reflects real life, sometimes it doesn’t and it’s a reminder to try and pace and choose small nice things. The challenge is ironic because the tiredness makes your scroll but the real rest comes from the living it. I have no planned point to this ramble except that thinking about the fact that it’s nice sometimes to document both the gentle present engaged moments because they DO happen as well as the real good ol mess of the reality of raising kids.

I’m definitely not opposed to using AI to do thi I’m definitely not opposed to using AI to do things quicker and smarter but guys… today I saw a photographers caption (don’t ask who, I truly can’t remember… someone overseas!) and the phrasing was freakishly familiar to some of the lines I was getting when I was trying out some streamlining captions (which I binned after it feeling a bit weird but woah I could spot it even though it was pretty causal and conversational, even for ai). I’ve also had some weird little things crop up along in the last year where I think AI has learnt from my website and spat out at people using it for their own photography brands esp around copywriting spaces (Likely because of my good SEO, also ironically the best thing I’ve ever done for my business) and it does feel like my brand has been a bit hijacked (or simply watered down). I typically have a hard and fast rule that this page is not for whinging. But it’s certainly give me pause, and I might have to sit with it for a bit… And then hopefully get over myself. It’s a good practice as a photographer to take yourself off to somewhere really busy (like a city) and remember just how many people there are in the world. Not immune from the old imposter syndrome even at 15 years in!

I think the challenge in 2026 sits in how to remain really firmly yourself as a brand and business when not a lot is sacred any more and the volume of content out here is so huge. These are the things I’m thinking about at the moment.

Anyhoo, have a pic from my archives.
